Specifically AIDA64..I see this mentioned often with regards to stability testing after  overclocking  RAM or CPU, but the only versions I see are paid for that come with a free 30 day trial.
That would be fine, but if I run any testing on there most of the result boxes just show "Trial version." which is really not much use.
Is there any other software that could be used as an alternative?

IMO, stay far FAR away from Prime and thelike. Again, IMO and many others it serves to shorten the procs lifespan.

I use 3DMark here. My 2cents to your question anyways.
