" rel="nofollow - Hi,

I purchased the following items:
1) asrock a320m-hdv with bios P4.80 (with AMD Ryzen Desktop 2000 Ready Sticker on the box).
2) AMD Athlon 200GE
3) ADATA 4GB DDR4 2666 Unbuffered-DIMM AD4U2666J4G19-B (after looking at the their website found out it's IC configuration is 512MX16).

When I try to boot using the above configuration, the system doesn't boot up or POST at all. No beeps, no display, no logo on screen. Only the cpu fan turns On.

I brought my PC to a nearest PC shop and tried to change the RAM to a APACER 4GB DDR 2666 Unbuffered-DIMM EL.04G2V.LNH (p/n: AU04GGB26CQWBGH) and it booted into BIOS. I'm not sure about the IC configuration of the APACER RAM because I couldn't find any info online.

Maybe there is an issue with the motherboard's buzzer because it never made any sound with or without the RAM fixed to the motherboard.

I sent back the ADATA RAM to the seller and after he tested it, he said that it is working fine.

Does the ASROCK A320M-HDV have a compatibility issue with 512MX16 RAM? Or is it a Athlon 200GE compatibility issue?

Thank you

Just to update.
I ordered and received my new RAM (Kingston HyperX Fury 4GB 2666MHz DDR4 HX426C15FB/4) today. It worked like a charm. I even got the full speed of 2666Mhz for the RAM on bios. Everything is running good. It was the RAM problem all along.

I also found out the reason why there was no buzzer sound from the motherboard speaker during boot/POST or if the RAM is removed or faulty. It was disabled by default in the BIOS!.. Really a bad move by Asrock...

Hope this helps anyone having the same problem.
