Hello,

I'm planing to purchase the https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H310M-STX/index.us.asp" rel="nofollow - ASRock H310M-STX motherboard, which requires a specific power supply. Unfortunately, there are no compatible models listed on the MB description page. Could you please confirm whether the http://www.chieftec.eu/en/psus/external-psu/cdp-120itx.html" rel="nofollow - Chieftec CDP-120ITX power adapter will work with this board? Or would you recommend any other model?

Dear TIJ,

Regarding your question, the H310M-STX support 19V power adapter, the CDP-120ITX is a DC 12V adapter so cannot use at H310M-STX.

Please use 120W power adapter for 65W CPU and 90W power adapter for 35W CPU.

In our lab, we are using the AcBel ADC027 120W adapter for testing.

The model from AcBel might be rather difficult to find in the area where I live. Is the SilverStone AD120-STX compatible with the ASRock board?

Dear TIJ,

Due to we don't have the SilverStone AD120-STX at our lab, we may not test for you.
We have checked the SilverStone website, this adapter supports Mini-STX motherboard, should work with H310M-STX.

I understand you cannot possibly test everything, no worries. Meanwhile I have found yet another power adapter that I believe is compatible with the ASRock board - Akasa AK-PD120-04M. It's also a mini-STX 120W power supply with 19V output. However, the SilverStone model is easier for me to purchase.

And one more question, hopefully the last. The H310M-STX board (as well as its predecessor based on the H110 chipset) is equipped with rather non-standard SATA connectors, hence there are a couple of compatible cables included. What if these cables get broken / lost / stolen by aliens? Where can I get a replacement from?
