Hello, i'm having trouble getting my new M.2 SSD recognized
Slot M2_1 works just fine using: Samsung 970 EVO NVMe M.2
https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-970-evo-nvme-m2-500gb-mz-v7e500bw/
Slot M2_2 doesn't work using: Samsung 860 EVO M.2 SATA
https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-860-evo-m-2-sata-1tb-mz-n6e1t0bw/
i'm new at this stuff so i'm not sure if its even supposed to work, or if there's a setting I have to enable in order for it to work

Hi, that slot is shared with a second graphic card. Do you have two graphic cards?

slot 2 doesn't read Sata interface m.2 (860)
if you want to use it either buy another m.2 or move the 860 on the top slot

what sort of M.2 will work in the M2_2 slot? can that slot still be used for SSD storage or is it for something else?

I read that too, but I think the manual is incorrect as gizmic stated M2_2 doesn't seem to read sata
@paologab do you have a working m.2 sata ssd in slot 2?

the manual is wrong the online spec sheet should be the correct one and i've tested it i also have a 860 m.2 coming from a 990FX. It only works on the top slot and i didnt bench the 970 on the bottom slot but it didnt felt right lol so i dumped the 860 m.2 and got normal 860 in raid

I read online and a lot of people have this problem because of the mobo. I decided to return it and get a regular ssd instead. https://thetermpapers.net/
