I had a Windows 11 update on 3/27/25 which green screened. Upon restarting my pc I got a 7F bios code followed by an immediate reboot. This loop continued until I powered down the system.
There was nothing on any screen, not even the bios loading display.
As far as I can tell it appears the windows update somehow fried my CPU!

I tried all the usual tricks. Pull the RAM, replace 1 at a time. Removed graphics card and plugged in onboard.
Waiting on new CPU to arrive and hoping that works

Update:
Tried replacement CPU, still getting 7F.
Only thing I could think of is BIOS but it appears this motherboard doesn't support the BIOS Flashback feature so there is no way to reload the BIOS since it doesn't even POST.
Also noticed neither of the BIOS A nor BIOS B leds light up when trying to boot.

Would love any type of response. Attempted to contact ASRock directly but no response.
It appears that this 7F error basically means the board is trashed with no possibility of recovery.

Hello again LeeB, I replied to you in the other thread on this issue I believe. If you didn't get an email confirmation then your ticket was not submitted. I would try submit a ticket again.
The only other thing I can suggest is to try https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal" rel="nofollow - this . It seems this usually fixes the issue, if not then sadly it generally means the board is dead.

That is brutal?if you?re stuck at a 7F code with no POST, it?s worth trying a CMOS reset or BIOS flashback to rule out firmware corruption before assuming hardware failure.
