Hello,

I recently upgraded my second computer's mainboard from Asrock AB350M-HDV to Asrock AB350M Pro4 with the latest bios update (5.10).

I have a 16GB Patriot Viper 3400mhz Ram kit that I could run on the HDV at Ryzen Dram calculator Fast settings at 3466mhz, which include the Ram voltage being set at at least 1.46V.

However, on the Pro4 this can't be done, as the maximum Ram voltage allowed by the bios is 1.4V.

I have never seen such a low voltage limit for ram on a motherboard before. Is there a reason for this, and does any previous BIOS version allow a higher voltage - or will there be a new bios with higher limit some day?

Ram speed and bandwith are important for my Ryzen 2400G and its integrated graphics - which I imagine many people use these boards for.

I heard that 1.46V Ram voltage is not safe for 24/7 usage.

I also had Asrock AB350M Pro4 and Ryzen 2400G.
With Ryzen Dram calculator, I need to set Ram voltage to 1.365V
But with Asrock AB350M Pro4, I can only set Ram voltage to 1.35V or 1.4V,
Hope there are BIOS version which I can set Ram voltage more details (such as 1.365 or 1.36V)

I wish ASrock could increase max RAM voltage setting to at least 1.45v (XMP allows up to 1.5v). I also hope they could change the step of voltage change from 0,05v to something like 0,025

Previous versions had lower limits. I'm on BIOS 3.30 and I can only increase RAM voltage to 1.35V.

Updated my board to BIOS 5.50 voltage limit is still set to 1,40v which is the only option to have my hynix mfr RAM stably working on its stock 3200Mhz because it is unstable with 1,35v which is stock voltage in XMP profile of my sticks. Don't see any improvement in stability or higher clocks possible though. What I liked about new BIOS is that now you can just choose desired RAM clock and also change timings without going deep into AMD CBS options.

I still hope we could get voltage increase for RAM up to 1,5v even though warranty will be void when it is chosen

Out of curiosity. I have a B450M Pro4 board with 3.3 bios version& patriot viper 4 3400Mhz 2x8gb ram in dual channel& ryzen 2200G cpu. I cannot use the stock XMP profile (3400mhz pre-set), the pc won't boot. After a re-start loop it'll set back settings to default (2133mhz).

How should I set up the voltages&timings to get the rams working at their advertised 3400mhz speed? Or is my 2200G cpu a limiting factor for succesfull memory tweaking?
