Hey guys,
Trying to boot my First PC ever built; but upon turning it on,nothing POST on the monitor. Switched the RAM sticks sockets, checked the cables, reset the CMOS, checked the pins of the CPU Socket and still nothing shows on the monitor. Everything Turns on when i turn the power on (GPU Fans Run/RAM LED on/Chasis Fan LED on/CPU Fan on) it just wont POST on the screen.
Here are the specs:
CPU : i5 9600k
Mobo: Fatality Z370 Gaming ITX/ac
RAM : G.SKILL TridentZ 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3200 Model# F4-3200C16D-16GTZR
SSD : SAMSUNG 970 PRO M.2 2280 512GB PCIe Gen3. X4, NVMe
GPU : GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1070 Ti
PSU : Seasonic PRIME Ultra 850W 80+ Titanium (YES I KNOW IT IS OVERKILL)
BIOS: P1.90 (this is BIOS Number i see on Motherboard)

Would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

Thanks.

My first thought is that your BIOS needs to be updated to support the 9600k:

This is the ever annoying reality when new CPUs are launched for an existing socket/platform I'm afraid. You will either need to get hold of a supported CPU (celeron perhaps) and flash the the latest BIOS or take the board in to get flashed somewhere.

I hope its a BIOS issue too. I already contacted Asrock and they said they could update it for me but i wouldn't get it until next year. Waited and planned long enough to wait any longer. So decided to return it and get the Z390 Phantom Gaming ITX/ac instead. Only perk is that i get one extra M.2 Slot. Should get it by tomorrow. Can't beleive even after all my careful planning i still messed up on my first build (kinda expected a mess up on my end though).

The z390 supports the 9600k out of the box so you should be good on that front

Don't be too hard on yourself, this is a very common issue that catches even pro builders sometimes. The only difference is, pro builders often have a spare CPU on hand to update with Let us know how the build goes.

Yes it is POST-ing now. so relieved when it did. But i have yet to take a break for the VRM heatsink on the motherboard is now blocking my low profile cpu cooler. Got two options either run 1 RAM or try to remove VRM heatsink from the board. why cant my life be easy
