Hi, i got a strange problem with Fan Control Setting, im on bios 3.20 but do happen on previous bios too.

My Fan setup

1x cpu fan (4pin)

3x case fan (3pin)
.........................

the problem is on chassis 3 header fan control, if i set all 3fan on chassis fan spot, always the LAST ONE CHA FAN 3(pin header 3)have full rpm and no control, even if i interchange fan with pin header the final result in 2x fan control speed control and last one full speed.

i have fixed this using the third chassis fan on cpu optional header and set it to low voltage 7v to avoid full speed, but i have of course no control about it.

so my question is...why the first CHA FAN 1-2 with 3pin give me full control and ONLY if i add the third fan on CHA FAN 3 i got the problem.

bug hardware or bios?

isn't a fan problem, i have tried all fan on both cha fan 1-2 and work good.

Dear Amon.akira,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Regarding your question, the chassis fan 1 and chassis fan 2 can auto detect if 3-pin of 4-pin fan is in use.
If you want to use the 3-pin fan on chassis fan 3, please set the fan control mode manually to DC mode under BIOS.

Thank you!
Yours truly,
ASRock TSD
