I have an ASRock FM2A85X-ITX board with two SATA drives attached: a Samsung SSD, and a HGST HDD. I want the Samsung SSD to be the boot default. When I enter UEFI setup, if I go to Storage Configuration, I can see that both of the drives are visible by the system: However, when I go to the Boot section and try to set the default boot order, there are only 3 options. The HGST drive is listed, but not the Samsung drive:  Why? Also, if I reboot and hit F11 to enter the Boot Menu, then I can see the SSD listed as a boot option:  Obviously hitting F11 every time I boot up is not ideal. So the question is -- if the system can see this SSD, why am I not able to set it as the boot default in UEFI setup? |
