Hi, sorry if this isn't the right place for this, but in case it's an issue with the board itself, I figured I should give it a try.
I built a new PC yesterday using the ASRock Z270 Taichi board, and it's my first time using an ASRock product.
The specs are:
Board: Z270 Taichi
CPU: Core-i7 7700
RAM: 24GB Kingston HyperX DDR4 @ 2400MHz
GPU: MSI Radeon RX 580
PSU: bequiet! Straight Power 11 650W
Drive: Samsung 970 EVO 250GB NVMe
There are also 2 Corsair ML120 and 2 ML140 fans in the system.
I was met with an A2 error on the board upon startup, with my fans all running very loudly and the monitor lighting up with nothing but the backlight and an acknowledgement that something was plugged in. The system wouldn't post, though.
According to the manual, this was a SATA device error, but I didn't have any SATA devices connected. The only drive in the system is the NVMe drive. I know that PCIe drives usually take up some SATA ports, but having not even gotten into the settings to adjust for that if need be, I'm not sure why it would give me an error and not post.
I powered the system down and unplugged the power supply, then hit the Clear CMOS button on the back panel, waited a few seconds, plugged it back in, and went to turn it back on, only for nothing to happen when I hit the power button.
The debug display remains lit up with 00 even when the machine is unplugged, but I'm unable to even turn it on. I tried a different power supply, and got the same result. Nothing happens. The front panel is connected properly; I double checked all of my connections.
Thoughts?
