Hello----first post here.

I am running a Z170M Extreme 4 with an early BIOS P1.30 from late 2015 without issues on Windows 10 Home, fully updated.

I am contemplating purchase of a 2 TB Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 2TB PCI-Express 3.0 internal SSD. This drive has an NVME interface.

This drive will be used for data ONLY. My Windows installation will remain on another drive altogether.

Here's the drive:

This drive is NOT mentioned on the current storage compatibility list, but few NVME drives are listed at all.

But that doesn't mean it won't work well.

Are there any known compatibility issues?

Have any of you used an Intel 660p on any Z170 board?

I've looked at the newer BIOSes, but don't see any indication that they would add anything I need.

Thanks for any comments.
