Hi
I have a Killer SLI motherboard and Corsair 16GB DDR4 Red Vengeance LPX 3000MHz Memory Kit (CMK16GX4M2B3000C15R) which is ment to be 3000Mhz which I've never been able to get through XMP or manual setup. I want to get Zen 2 when it comes out and to spread the cost I'd like to get the memory now. any suggestions??? not TOP TOP memory as I'm not rich LOL. please help.
thanks
steve

Thanks for the reply. So far I can only get to about 2800mhz not the 3200mhz I bought it for.
Are there different types of Trident??? Thanks.

Ahh! A slight confusion.

Zen 2 are Ryzen 3000-series. Zen+ are Ryzen 2000.

There are many types of Trident Z, but yours look like they are mady for Ryzen, judging from the markings.

If you really want 3200, there are a few things you could try, e.g. update BIOS and clear CMOS, swap the places of the RAM sticks, bump SoC & RAM voltage, etc.
