Hi there
I'm really struggling to get into the bios. The pc runs fine day to day and I've just updated the bios and all the drivers.
Coming from start up I press F2 repeatedly and then the pc never gets out of a black screen. The same thing happens appens when I use the ASRock uefi tool and also the windows force restart tool. The only way out of this is to force shutdown via the power button and reboot into operating system which it does perfectly well with no issues.
I've literally tried everything so far including clear cmos.
The pc works perfectly well with a 7500f cpu and good spec ram. It is not overclocked.
Any help would be appreciated ??

Some things to try, if you haven't already.
Unplug all USB devices except one keyboard. Remove all PCIe devices, except the GPU, since you have an F-CPU with iGPU disabled.

FIXED! I tried everything and in the end the only thing that allowed me into the bios was to swap to an HDMI cable instead of a DP cable. Who knew but maybe this might help someone else. Thanks for all the suggestions.

Hi I am new in this forum and I came here, because I have a similar problem with my brand new ASrock B850M Plus-A WiFi and I also could solve the problem, by not using display port and using hdmi instead.
The hint to switch form DP to HDMI did the trick also in my case. May be, that this is a more common bug in these mainboards, so that ASrock should have a look at this???
I have bought this board brand new and I am running this board without any overclocking and with a Ryzen 5 7600X. The internal GPU of the Ryzen is used, no additional PCI card, only a NVME 8TB Samsung EVO 990 is in use. My OS is a Manjaro-Linux.
Yesterday evening, the computer did work very good and stable on Display Port. This morning, it seems it would not boot any more. But after intense search I observed, that the PC will boot correct but will not show anything on the display. While booting, the signalling on the mainboard showed, that all is OK, resulting in the white LED active. Then the white LED changed to inactive and a beep showed, that the PC would now start the OS.
Occasionally, some signal triggered the display to return from standby but nothings showed up there and then it signals, that there would not be any signal at DP. This is the point, where I found this thread here and luckily could switch to HDMI.
But I don't think that this is a "solution"! The DP should work also and the mainboard is brandnew. I am in doubt, whether to return ist to the shop or whether to wait, til I get a helpful answer, how to get the DP back to stable operation.
What do you think about? Return the board or digging deeper? My time is precious and I need a trustful solution.

Thanks guys, I will pass the info along to my contacts at ASRock and ask them to look into the DP issue. If possible, could you please try the DP output again and see if it is still not working or did switching to HDMI fix the issue. It is possible switching to HDMI then back could correct the problem too.
Thanks for your feedback guys.

Hi Xaltar! Thank you for your engagement, to clear this directly with ASrock.
I just have tried DP again and ??surprise ??it did work. Then I rebooted and bang! DP did not work again, but HDMI did.
Then I booted with HDMI and while it was running, I plugged off HDMI and inserted DP. DP did work! Then I booted with DP in order to try the reverse proceeding. But now DP is not failing again.
But as a summary: It seems, that the implementation of DP on this board is not stable and should be analyzed and corrected as soon as possible.
BTW: I like this board and would be happy if a BIOS update could cure the DP port.

This is interesting. As far as I know, the iGPU outputs are driven directly by the CPU, so if it's unstable, it could be caused by one or more of many different issues. CPU to socket pad issues, motherboard trace issues (unlikely if it was working fine before), plug issues, cable issues, monitor compatibility, or firmware issues.

Hello again guys, could you please provide your full system specs:

This will help a lot, thanks.

Quick answer: CPU Ryzen 5 7600X Board B850M Pro-A WiFi GPU integrated GPU of CPU RAM Corsair Vengeance DDR 5 6000 2 x 16 B in Slot A2 + B2 PSU be quiet! 300W Storage Samsung 990 EVO 2 TB Display make and model NEC Multisync EA275WMi 2560 x 1440
BTW: the DP error did not happen again until now. Further I have checked the correct insert of the CPU and did not find something wrong there.

Until your rank goes above Newbie you will have to make a post in the requisite thread as listed https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=113248&title=new-member-guide" rel="nofollow - here .
From there I will create the thread for you. Sorry but this is to prevent the thousands of daily spam posts the forums have been plagued by, nothing else has worked.

After all these days, the problem with missing DP output happens again. It "feels" like a error in the connectors. But I have excluded this possibility by using three different DP cables to my display.
This time, it was strange, that the display LED shows, that there is a signal on the DP but the display remains black.
While this happened, I added the HDMI connection and I tried to switch the display to the HDMI input but the switching could not performed somehow. Might be, that the Mainboard should have the HDMI connection already at boot-time in order to activate the HDMI out?
I rebooted then while both connections to the display were present, and then I could switch the display to HDMI.

Another Info: I just had booted my system (Manjaro Linux) while both video outputs were connected to my display. Although I had set the display to HDMI, it seems, that it will automatically switch to that video input, that delivers the signal first. And Manjaro did not know, which video output to use. I got a DP with a desktop without any user elements while I got everything, when I switched to HDMI.
This answers my question above, how the system will react, when both video outputs are connected to the same display. Simply: You should not do this! :-)

I think I've fixed mine by updating the firmware on my 1080ti. I can now get into the bios with my dp cable connected. Not sure if it's coincidence or not but I'll take it. Thanks for all the help.

That would make sense, the vBIOS is loaded before the GPU initializes so if there is a bug there it could definitely cause your issue. Unfortunately that option doesn't exist for an iGPU, it's firmware is part of the system BIOS and not updatable by the user.
