Hello all, I need help or directives as to what to do to solve an Overheating issue that appeared on my new computer. I bought this ABS computer from Newegg about 3 months ago.

It came with an Asrock Z390 pro4 motherboard as well as a 600W Thermaltake Smart Series PSU, two TeamGroup Vulcan 8gb of RAM, an Intel i7-9700k and an Nvidia RTX 2070. The case is a TALOS M1 from Gamdias and it came with a 120 liquid cooling that is also from Gamdias. (Most of this information and more can be seen with the link I provided above)

When I received the PC everything seemed in order. First thing I did was update windows 10, remove bloatware and update all the drivers. I noticed some small issues such as occasional freezing for 2-3 seconds while watching videos on youtube/twitch or gaming but, I attributed it to all my hardware being fairly new and maybe I just had to wait for more stable drivers updates to come.

However, I found more and more that my PC was under-performing for its specs despite regularly updating its drivers and scanning for viruses with Malwarebytes. As a last recourse before checking my hardware, I wanted to perform a clean install of Windows 10 and Update the BIOS to its latest version as it was still on the release version (v1.30) and the v1.60 was now available.

So, yesterday, I started with the BIOS update. I downloaded the v1.60 Flash from Asrock's download library, booted my PC on the BIOS setup and performed the Upgrade. The update 'Succeeded' and a message saying that 'the PC would now Reboot' appeared.

It did not, though. I waited a few minutes and then proceeded to manually open it. After a few minutes (10-15) the PC suddenly shut itself down. No blue screen of death or error messages. I opened it again and the same thing happened. Being unsure of why this happened, I decided to revert to the previous version of the BIOS. To do so, I unplugged the power chord from the PC and removed the motherboard's battery and then put it back in after 20 mins had passed. The BIOS had effectively reverted to v1.30 and I was able to use the computer for about 2 hours before it shut itself down again.

Since I was running out of ideas, I went back to the Newegg page describing the PC (the link I added at the start of this post) to see if any other people had encountered similar issues. There I saw in someone's review that they said their PC overheated when they first received the Computer because the manufacturer had forgotten to plug the CPU FAN header to the motherboard.
After reading this, I quickly checked my BIOS to see the temperature and looked inside my case to see if the CPU FAN was indeed not plugged.

The CPU FAN header was, in fact, not plugged. AND, my CPU was running at 115 Celsius degrees in the BIOS. As such, I plugged the CPU FAN header but, now, it appears that the BIOS is not detecting it. The BIOS UI is displaying the CPU FAN 1 slot as 'N/A'.

I really don't understand how the computer had been able to function for 3 months with the CPU FAN header not plugged in the motherboard when now, the CPU reaches 80-90 celsius degrees after the BIOS update (despite the revert) on idle and with or without the CPU FAN header plugged.

So, this sums up my situation. I'm sorry for the lengthy post, I'm just trying to give out as much information as possible to aid those willing to help.

Thank you for reading, I'm grateful for any help.
