Hi Asrock,
Curious to ask a few things about this motherboard and CPU combo. I?™m specifically interested in combining it with Gskill 2x32 kit, specifically the F5-6000J3636F32GX2-FX5. I?™m on the latest 3.25 bios.
Questions:
1. Per this post https://www.overclock.net/threads/expo-profile-doesnt-work.1816289/?post_id=29467023#post-29467023" rel="nofollow - https://www.overclock.net/threads/expo-profile-doesnt-work.1816289/?post_id=29467023#post-29467023 I was unable to POST with EXPO settings as the board seems to set bad override impedance values for ProcODT and RTTs. To get it to POST I just had to set these values back to ?œAuto??after enabling EXPO. While this kit doesn?™t seem to be on the QVL (it?™s on the B650E QVL though I think), this is still odd behaviour isn?™t it. Why would enabling EXPO change impedance from Auto? Is this something that should be fixed, as I imagine it will catch others?
2. I?™m looking to tune this memory and can?™t see any setting for ?œTcke??in the memory timings. Why isn?™t this exposed?
3. For some reason, ?œTphyrdl??which I beleive is trained (not usually exposed to user to set) is training at a high value of ??6??with my CPU. Yet someone with the same kit and board is getting a much better ??6??(per the above post). Why is this? Shouldn?™t the 8500G be training the same kit on the same board at similar settings when simply turning on EXPO?

I have the same board (3.25) and mem kit. It also has issues with EXPO. I can POST but experience the occasional crash. I tried EXPO @ 5800 and experienced one crash after a few days. It seems stable at 5600. I'll try going back to 6000 and setting impedance values to auto.

That was a no go, back to 5600.

Unlucky, it seemed to work ok for at least two of us. In that forum post can you share a screenshot of your Zentimings? You might spot something that's off

I'm on linux so I don't have access to that info or I'm not aware of any zentimings alternatives that work on linux. All expo values in bios match the initial screenshot in that thread.
I'm not too fussed about it. I'm willing to trade the marginal performance regression to avoid the occasional crash for now.

what if you set the memory training options to auto?

They're auto by default for me.
