I own a z790 Taichi Lite, The USB based built-in audio is subpar and no matter what settings I put in the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface, as soon as windows 11 starts, it detects the onboard audio. This is one of 2 things I really dislike about this motherboard: 1.- There are not any many tutorials on the web, seems people only publish for other brands. 2.- There are not enough 3.5mm jack connections for a 7.1 speaker system in the rear in/out connectors, I have to use the front panel connectors and set outputs via software (realtek) control. I have installed a Creative Peripheral Component Interconnect Express sound card that does the job the way it is supposed to, but I really dislike having 2 sound cards recognized by the device/hardware manager even though I have the onboard sound card disabled. I would really appreciate any help you can provide, I also would like the community know that english is not my first or second language so please try not use abbreviations or acronyms since they can mean a thousand things. Again, thank you for all of your help. Best regards, Giloz Lodiaz.

Software_BIOS Setup Guide says there should be a switch in the chipset section for hd audio (auto/enable/disable)

Yes, tried both settings in UEFI as stated in manual pages 63 and 64. Asrock support reached out and after a few emails they decided I need to return (Return Merchandise Authorization) the motherboard. I never had to Return an Asrock item before and I have been building computers with their components since they were a little unknown brand (early 2002-2003) and never had an issue, hopefully their Return process is pretty quick since I work from home being without a computer will be very difficult. Overall I am happy with this board, so I will post any updates about its future. Thank you, best of luck everyone. Gilvonet EENg. MCS.
