Newbie taking a chance on eDRAM build.

I only like modest OC for my ASIO non gaming needs.
Love to know if eDRAM will have a multiplier.

Will use eDRAM as booster for audio apps.
As is apps currently stores buffers into RAM.
Those serve as a way to stream audio from NVMe storage devices.

Hope eDRAM can provide data from CPU faster access to system RAM Buffers.

Thanks for any information that shows how eDRAM can be multipled or any experiences where this new cache helps out in apps that are non gaming in nature.

Cheerz

Well I guess Z97 extreme 6 will be retired for an Asus board.
Too bad I love ASRocks bold M.2 builds.
Crappiest support Ive ever seen.
Bye-bye.

Hmmm better write an email directly to ASRock support.
So I get answers from them usually within 2 or 3 days.
Here at the forum I have the feeling I can talk to a wall just as well.

I can only answer questions I know the answers to. As moderators do not actually work for ASRock we only know what is available to everyone already.

As far as I am aware there is as yet no multiplier for eDRAM but not having a Broadwell CPU to check it out personally I can't say if it has been added in a recent BIOS update to any given Z97 board. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Can anyone vefify what Ring Bus voltage for cache does.
Seems less voltage might equate to underclocking.
