Hello
My B850M Pro RS WiFi does not boot (POST) anymore.
The system:
- MB: B850M Pro RS WiFi
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9700X
- RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 64GB (2x32GB) Kit DDR5-6000 CL28
- SSD: Samsung 990 Pro 4TB
- PSU: Corsair RM650e

I bought the components some 3 months ago and everything worked extremely well -- until today.
When I turn on the PC this morning, the fans spin, the red and yellow LEDs (CPU and RAM error) are on and that's it, no graphics output, no caps-lock on the keyboard, no nothing -- at least most of the time.
Sometimes, red and yellow turn off, green and white LEDs flash shortly and the ASRock logo is on the screen -- and stays there, nothing more.
Two times even the boot process started but when I was prompted for my boot password, no keys strokes where registered and the system seemed stuck.
A few times red and yellow were on for about 1min or so, then shortly green and white but then just red and yellow again.
To summarize, it is not 100% consistent, but the red and yellow LEDs turn "reliably" on, the keyboard is not functional, and there is no graphic output or only the ASRock logo.

I've tried to flash BIOS v3.30, nothing changed, same with v3.20 and v3.25.
I've tried only one RAM bar (once for each bar), I've changed the mounting pressure on the CPU, I've let it idle for about 1h with red/yellow LEDs on, nothing worked so far.
Do you need more information?

I see a lot of topics with similar issues.
Is there anything I could try in addition?
Regards, snygg

One additional thing, maybe unrelated, but 1 or 2 days ago the WiFi suddenly did not work anymore. I rebooted, did not work in Windows, not in Linux, not in USB-Sticks. After I unplugged the power from the PC for a few hours and WiFi was available again -- as if nothing happened.

Have you tried disconnecting power for a few hours again? While you are at it, try https://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal" rel="nofollow - this

You can also try disconnecting all your USB devices and see if that changes the
POST behavior.

Hello
I unplugged the pc, added the CMOS jumper, and remove the battery for about 4h -- the same.
I removed all USB device and then also the SSD (a 'cant find bootable device' error would be an improvement) -- but still the same 'nothing' as before.

I added a speaker to the mainboard and got repeating: 3 beeps and a break.
This pattern was the same with and without RAM modules installed.

Hey man, i have the same board with amd ryzen 5 9600x, 2x crucial ddr5 with total 16G RAM.
Gpu: intel arc b580

Since Yesterday (26.07.2025) i have the same problem, no screen or boot.
3-4 seconds cpu and RAM red and yellow.
After that, boot yellow-green. Nothing happens.
Tried everything you tried..
If i switch the ram, it stays on red and yellow from LED.
If i use bank4 for the ram, i get Led green on boot.
I am so frustrated man, why it doesnt work? My pc is about 3 months old......

Sorry man, I feel your pain.
I've sent it back to the shop, they are sending me a new board.
I fear there is no fix -- at least I've given up.
Hope my new one will last more than 3 months.
I had ASRock boards before without issue, this is so frustrating.

I had just now simmilar problems with a 870E Taichi Lite:
Updated BIOS from 3.20 to 3.30, first everything was fine, after a couple reboots: no screen, all fans max, debug code AA and 21 - google says: 21 is anything with USB, so I disconected all USB an did reboot: works again!

good luck with the new board!

Update: Turns out, they did not replace the board but actually replaced the CPU.
Seems as if the board was never the issue but the CPU (AMD Ryzen 9700X)

Thanks for the update snygg, happy to hear you got it sorted out

Faulty CPUs are a lot more common than they ever used to be in the past. I suppose
at least some of that is down to the fact that more are produced and sold than
ever before too. It has gotten to the point that I often recommend a CPU RMA
on the forums, baring in mind, most people find themselves here with issues.
