ASrock B850M Pro-A Wifi how to set virtualization active in BIOS?

I am just trying to use Oracle Virtual Box. But only the VBox-Mnager can be started. And after that, I cannot add any of my Virtual Machines to it. When I try, VBox-Manager will freeze.

I have had this effect already on another computer and there the virtualization in BIOS was not set active.

I have searched the entire AMD-BIOS of this board and I did not find any setting for AMD virtualization. Is it active by default?

I have got the advice to ckeck the BIOS setting in
advanced -> AMD CBS-CPU -> Coomon Options
scroll down to the last two items concerning SVM.

By default, they are set to "auto". That means, may be it is active, may be not - depending from any software, which is able to set it on or off.

It seems, that Oracle VirtualBox in the Linux version or in the version for Manjaro-Linux cannot activate this setting.

I recommend to first set (the last item) SVM active and then set SVM lock also to active. By setting SVM lock active, it keeps software from changing SVM back from the active position.

I am not sure, whether SVM setting has caused my difficulties with VirtualBox, because the problems still are persisting. But this is a discussion, which I will continue at Oracle VirtualBox Forum.

I would be happy, if my info about the SVM setting can help others here.
