Question concerning Asrock b650i lightning wifi

The drive LED flashes once per second. This seems to have to do with my SSD Kingston NV3 NVMe SSD 4 TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0.
Using any other SSD the drive LED doesn't flash.

Is there an incompatibility?

If the drive is working correctly and isn't causing issues then it's likely just
a quirk of the drive's firmware. Run a few speed tests on it with something like
CrystalDiskMark and compare your results to other drives of the same model. You
can also download and run Kingston's own SSD tool and verify the SMART status/health
of your drive. CrystalDiskInfo can also give you this information.

In all likelihood however it is just the drive performing it's usual maintenance.
All SSDs do this when they are not being actively used, they clear out junk data
from unused portions of the drive. It's possible Kingston has the firmware set
to make the HDD activity LED flash by default. Some people like seeing activity.

If the drive is underperforming or is damaged/unhealthy in the apps I mentioned
above then you may want to RMA it.
