Dear fcM127qP,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

DIMM Socket Support 2 -> Only support two memory modules on the system. (A1/B1 or A2/B2)
DIMM Socket Support 2/4 -> User can install four or two memory module on the system. (A1/B1/A2/B2 or A1/B1 or A2/B2)

Memory QVL:

Hello, memory I have bought for x399 phantom gaming 6 says Dimm Support 2 only , I have bought 8 of these memories, does this mean they all won't work on my motherboard?

Thank you

And why didn't you look to the QVL before getting new RAM?
This is like to fill up a car with diesel and afterwards looking into the manual to see it needs fuel... sorry.

But RAM in all slots will always be a bit tricky to run succesfull, even if it is in the QVL.
SS (single sided) will be easier to handle compared to DS (double sided).

You maybe have to start first with 4 sticks.

These memories? What kind of memory?

I bought them on a blitz deal, then the mobo and cpu, was impulsive,

F4-3200c16D-16GTZR DDR4-3200 8GBX2

CL 16-18-18-38 1.35 V

I won't overclock , just run it like it comes for daily tasks

thanks again

Ok, 8 x 8 SS.
They probably will not run at 3200Mhz by just selecting XMP profile and frequency, even with 4 sticks.

And even if you do not want to overclock, you have to get some knowledge regarding RAM and Ryzen Threadripper and the technics from the overclockers, if you do not want to run the RAM with 2133Mhz or lower or if only the half of the RAM will work...

Well, guess if they don't POST will have to sell them, so I have look up the QVL and get the ones that say DIMM Socket Support 8 (eight) ? to get up to 64 GB ?

say ,

CMK32GX4M4A2666C16

?

So I can run vmware with a couple of VMs too

Thanks

A memory upgrade is one of the easiest and most affordable ways to improve the performance of your system. While incredibly easy to upgrade and install, it?™s paramount to check compatibility when purchasing a memory upgrade.
