I'm building a completely new pc with the components listed below. The pc powers on but does not reach POST. All the fans work (including the CPU fan w/ LED). I've double-checked the cables and their polarities (since the power and reset switches work, probably not that), I've removed and reseated the RAM, tried just one stick of RAM... The pc will not POST.
Am I missing something obvious? What else may be my problem?
My build: ROSEWILL Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case (FBM-01) ASRock B450M-HDV Patriot Viper Elite Series DDR4 32GB (2x16GB) 2666MHz PC4-21300 Dual Memory WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb/s, M.2 AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Processor with Wraith Spire LED Cooler

I think you are missing a chunk of a GPU. Ryzen 1xxx don't have iGPU in them.
Basically, your monitor is hooked to 'dead' connector if no dedicated GPU is used, or you put certain 2xxx-series APU.

Indeed, you have no GPU listed and your CPU does not have an iGPU. The "onboard" display outputs exist only for APUs (2200g/2400g or Athlon 2xxGe), on a CPU like yours they are not connected to anything. You will need to use a dedicated GPU.

If you just need to display stuff, a GT 710 is cheap.
