I would like to buy Corsair's High Speed NVMe PCI Express Gen3 x2 Interface SSD drive. It has a compact M.2 2280 Form Factor: Ultra-compact M.2 2280 size

Is there a way that I can attach the SSD to the FM2A88X ExtremE6+ ? I can see a number of PCI sockets but not one that is directly suitable for the Corsair.

My processor is the AMD A10-7800 Radeon R7
THe os is Ubuntu 18.04

Not directly to the MB, no. You'd req a PCIe to nVME card.

That A10-7800 is an FM2+ proc so it does support PCIe 3.0

BUT, the two 3.0 slots will break to both being x8, so a dedicate GPU may suffer a small percentage.

There are numbers of PCIe to M.2 adapters. Question is if the mobo can boot from such an adapter?

Also, don't worry about PCIe lanes. The GPU you'd be using in this mobo won't even notive it.
