Greeting everyone.
Just built a new system. Got a B365 Pro 4 MB, i7-8700 processor, and a 32GB memory kit ( two 16's ). Have a new Crucial MX500 SSD sata drive. I can boot to my USB media installer, can install windows 10 no problem. When windows finishes installing and reboots, windows tries to start but never completely starts. I see the Getting Started message, then Starting Services, then I see 10% done, 20% 30% sometimes that part will complete, then it reboots and starts over again with Getting Ready message, then another reboot. AFter rebooting 4 or 5 times, I get a blue screen telling me that Windows failed to start with an error code 0xc0000001 and the message that I need to repair windows with the install media. I can run the repair which always reboots before it completes, or I can do another full install which does complete, but I come back to the same problem as before with it rebooting several times then telling me I need to repair Windows. I have tried two other new SSD drives, and even a WD 600 GB 7200 RPM hard drive, and it does the same thing no matter what drive I use. I have installed from a Windows DVD with the same results. Have also used the USB media installer made with Rufus, and the one made with the Windows USB media creator, the results are always the same. I have tried using just one of the memory dimms, trying each of the 4 slots, then the other memory dimm, in each of the memory slots and windows will not boot after the install. The memory kit is on the approved memory qvl list. I have no other hardware installed. Talked to Amazon tech support they are going to replace the MB, then the CPU and memory if necessary.
I suspect memory but don't know. Just bummed out that my new computer won't run. Any other ideas ?
