I bought new ram this week 2x8gb 3000mhz, i had to update bios due to mobo not recognizing the new ram. After i finally got it to work, i went back to bios changing my i7 5820k oc profile to 4.2ghz computer now boots up with no display or keyboard or mouse lights. I didnt have this problem with bios 1.8 before. Im getting the debug code 94 but doesnt seem to be related. After reseting the cmos computer boots up fine with default profile. Help plz

ok i think i see the problem with the new ram. Its a 3000mhz ram when ever i try to change cpu oc to 4.2ghz with 3000mhz ram the cpu oc automatically jumps up to 4.5-5ghz. any ideas?

ok so updating bios worked, but for some reason with this x99 mobo i can only have my 5820k oc at 4ghz if i want my ram at 3000mhz. if i try to change cpu oc speed profile higher abit like 4.2-4.4 ghz it jumps up drastically to 5+ghz.

Thanks for the update and glad you figured it out. Am sure it has to do with clocks running the memory versus mem controller in the cpu and how the clocks are tied or separated. Anytime you overclock you can run into odd timing issues like you found.
