Subject: Keyboard and Mouse don't work in UEFI

I have an ASRock Fatality X470 Gaming-ITX motherboard with an AMD Ryzen 2600X.
I can press F2 on my Corsair keyboard to access the UEFI but once I'm in the UEFI I can't do anything. The keys on the keyboard do nothing and a cursor remains in the center of the screen but can't be moved. What's going on?

If the mouse is usb it should work. If it's ps/2 there is a bios setting to disable it, my be this is the problem

They're both USB. I also tried different USB ports and there's no difference. :(

Months ago, when I built thw pc, I saw that usb mouse and keyboards couldn't work. It is a new behavior? I mean, before it used to work and now it doesn't work no more? In this case, apart from trying each usb port, I've no clue. So wait for someone more experienced. Other ways may be your bios needs to be updated. But in this case read carefully the info on new bioses and the problem arose so far.

Forgot to say that in case usb doesn't work they suggested to use a ps/2 mouse & keyboard

I don't even own a PS2 mouse or keyboard
But I guess I can buy one just to test this.
I mean, honestly, this is terrible. It's never worked, by the way. I remember trying it shortly after I built this PC and I could never do anything in the UEFI.

corsair are weird keyboards
you need to hit some combination of keys for it to run a bios mode or a bios polling mode

So I was able to finally use the UEFI
Pressing F2 goes to the UEFI, but the cursor won't move and the keyboard does nothing.
However pressing F11 to get to the boot menu worked! So from the boot menu I pressed "Enter Setup" to get the UEFI and it was working with both the mouse and the keyboard.
No idea why this workaround is necessary, but it works, so I'm not complaining.

i already answered why corsair has a bios mode depending on which model you need to press it so that the keyboard works in bios
some models its a switch under the keyboard
since you didnt say with corsair keyboard

I had the same trouble and I solved it. For anyone, who couldn't find the solution: just UPDATE YOUR BIOS. It worked for me.
1. just google: [Board name] + Bios update 2. read the instruction carefully before update.
Good luck!

Um, not to call you out but you cannot flash their BIOS without access to... the existing BIOS. So if your keyboard and mouse didn't work, what process did you follow to update it? Just asking because Asrock support pretty much gave up on this issue with me.
I have a ASRock Z390M-ITX/ac MB and it's incompatible with powered USB hubs!
With Asrock you have to find every flaw yourself. Then there is little or no hope of getting a fix. I was a supporter, but they'll never have my business again.
But seriously, I'm super curious how you updated the BIOS when your keyboard and mouse didn't work in UEFI. Since Asrock refuses to support me unless I'm on the latest... which I cannot physically install... I'd get a chance to watch them fumble around like lost squirrels some more at least. : )
