Hello,

quick question... I have ordered brand new Z730 Extreme4 ... Will it support my 9th gen processor out of the box or I will have to update BIOS?

As I can see, by default this MBO supports only up to 8th Gen... but BIOS upgrade also enabled 9th Gen. This BIOS update was released long time ago... so I am not sure will it be "preinstalled" on my MBO?

If you are getting a 370 board be prepared to use an 8th generation or lower processor to upgrade the bios prior to installing the 9th generation processor

Thanks for the advice.

I guess it won't be a big issue to upgrade BIOS.

However, will any of my performances be affected (after the upgrade) because this board does not originally support 9th gen.?

Thanks again!
