I'm working on a new build with an X370 Taichi motherboard.
I can't get it even to BIOS. All I can get is DrDebug code 7b. (Perhaps 76? I think 7b.)
All I've been able to find for documentation on that code is "61-91: chipset initialization error. Please press reset or clear CMOS."
Tried so far:
-The clear CMOS jumper
-Disconnecting all power and removing the CMOS battery for a minute
-Disconnecting everything but the CPU and the Power Supply (7b)
-Disconnecting the CPU too (won't even show me a code)
-Disconnecting the power supply and using a known-workign power supply (7b)
-RMA-ing the motherboard and connecting just the CPU and power supply to the new one (7b)
I am now suspicious that there's something wrong with the CPU. Could a bad CPU cause code 7b?
What code should I get when I try to boot with just the CPU connected, if everything's good? Code 55 for no RAM?

Hi,this morning j'ai accédé au bios v3.30 j'ai activé le Dr Debug qui affichait:0A.J'ai regardé la liste des codes d'erreur sur le manuel de mon X99M Fatality killer qui indique 0A erreur périphérique sata.Solution effacer la CMOS,et tout debrancher les périphériques sata et M2 et les alimentations puis appuyer sur les boutons d'effacement et enlever la pile.J'ai remis la pile et j'ai redémarré avec seulement la clé usb qui me sert ? l'installation.Cette fois elle ? bien booté pour l'installation de windows10.J'ai stoppé l'install puis j'ai remis seulement le ssd samsung NVME,cette fois il s'est bien reinitialisé et WIN10 s'est ouvert sans problème.J'ai redémarré encore 2 fois pour installer le HDD et 1 ssd NVME Kingston 3x2.Je vais pouvoir reinstaller Store MI que je desinstalle ? chaque maj du bios.Sinon je n'ai aucun soucis avec le RGB comme certains.En définitive ,il serait peut-etre utile de démonter les périphériques sata avant les mise a jour du bios avec firmware du chipset.Et cela serait bien pratique qu'Asrock fournisse avec ses mobos un manuel avec les codes Dr Debug et un manuel sur les nouveaux bios en téléchargement.Car la version 3.30 n'a plus rien ? voir avec la 1ere version 1.20.Encore merci pour votre réponse rapide et sure. Update: My processor is too old for this board, I think. The socket was fine so I figured it would work, but I have looked more carefully and it isn't on the list, so I think that's what happened.
