Looking for a bit of help as I just can't seem to figure it out. The front usb ports on my case(thermaltake v1) are plugged into the usb 3.0 header on my x370 gaming itx/ac motherboard. They will not work though. After a restart i can plug in a usb and occasionally get a light to glow on my usb...but it goes away. Nothing from windows(windows 10) actually pops up and lets me know a usb was even plugged in. I've grabbed the chipset drivers off amd's site and the all in 1 drivers from amd. I'm also not seeing anything missing in the device manager. Is this a driver issue with WIN10?

USB headers should be transparent to OS, i.e. no need for a driver.

Check the pinouts for both case cable and the mobo. Make sure you are using the right pin header.

Updating you BIOS and clearing CMOS can help too.

Please do not suggest a bios update this time. ;-)
There is no info, which CPU is installed.
If it is a Gen1/Gen2 CPU, the last bios with AGESA PinnaclePI-AM4_1.0.0.6 must be good enough!

True, I somehow assumed OP is aware of the current BIOS mess. :D

Sorry, guess i forgot to mention a few things. Im running a ryzen 3 2200g. The bios on the MB was 4.6, but i've already went to 4.9 hoping that would help? Should i just update to the latest you think?

Nope, don't go with newer BIOS. Try clearing CMOS, this usually helps. If it doesn't - well, it's either the case/cable or the mobo.

Thanks for the response's guys. I went out and bought a new header cable and my usb drives work just fine. Looks like my case came with a bad cable for the front panel.
