Testing my new rig on userbenchmark shows that my system is bangin... except for the RAM which it tells me is performing much worse than expected (60th percentile). CPU-Z tells me my RAM is working at 1066mhz, which is far lower than the 3200 RAM I bought.
System parts: ASRock X470 Taichi mobo AMD Ryzen 7 3700x cpu G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3200 (PC4 25600) Desktop Memory Model F4-3200C14D-32GVR (https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-32gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232230)
I'm no expert at this stuff, so how do I go about getting this RAM up to speed?

Hey,
i have to ask: Did you activated XMP Profile in BIOS?

I did not, just straight plug and play. I imagine that's not hard to figure out how to do... then what?

You have to open the BIOS, search for an option for XMP Profile and have to select the right profile. Thats all.

If you get your memory working at 3200 MT/s, CPU-Z will show the memory frequency as 1600 MHz. That is correct, the CPU-Z frequency readout is half the transfer rate.
Your 1066 MHz doubles to 2133 MT/s which is the default, non-XMP rate.

Enabled XMP in the bios, rebooted, and it's working perfectly now. Man things sure have gotten easier over the years... Thanks for the help!
