Hello guys, I bought an ASRock J5005-itx and I'm looking to buy some memory sticks for it and I looked in the support section for RAM and I saw listed some kits of 16Gb there but the specs say that it only supports 8Gb. I would like to purchase a kit of BLS16G4S240FSD. This is a kit of 2x8, 2400 SODIMS. Can I trust the specs or not... can I buy the 16Gb kit or can you recommend something that works?

D.S.-sama, there is a two page thread on this forum from May 2018 that discussed memory compatibility issues with the J5005-ITX. I was bit by this problem when I originally acquired this mobo back then. I'm not aware that ASRock has improved this problem with a BIOS update, but my J5005 has been problem free once I acquired a pair of compatible memory sticks.

Yes, I was just wandering if anyone tried to install a 16Gb kit on the motherboard as in this article https://pawelrychlicki.pl/Home/Details/57/-intel-pentium-silver-j5005-supports-16gb-of-ram-asrock-j5005itx but it doesn't say if it works on windows because I want to use it as a PC.
