Posted this on overclock.net, but I thought I'd try here as well

CPU: 3900X
Mobo: AsRock X570M Pro4
Memory: Team Group Dark Pro 3600 (4 x 8GB)

Hi all. I'm attempting a really basic OC (relatively). I was hoping for a Memory OC up to 3600Mhz, which I've managed both manually and using XMP, both via the BIOS, and a matching infinity fabric OC of 1800Mhz (with a DRAM voitage of 1.35V).

The problem is that I can't achieve a boot with a corresponding FCLK speed of 1800MHz. I have to limit to 1600MHz for a successful boot. I've attempted enabling the SOC/Uncore OC option and setting the SOC voltage to 1.1V (I think my mobo has this value at 1.2V by default as when I attempt to change it, its default is 1200), but this doesn't help.

To state. The memory overclock seems to take fine with all 4 DIMMS reporting 1800MHz (not tested extensively yet), but IF has to be clocked to 1600MHz.

Any recommendations to small tweaks to get a successful boot?

Can you get to the bios when using FCLK 1800Mhz?

I recommend also using the DRAM calculator and the HowTos, at least for inspiration.
And there are lots of examples for results of successful overclockings on the DC page and in the help section of the program.

And use the bios user profiles for your working settings to come back, if you need a Clear CMOS...

BTW: DRAM Calculator for Ryzen 1.6.1 has some issues.
DRAM Calculator for Ryzen 1.6.0.3 should be good for Matisse too.

I don't think it's my timings that are a problem. I want to get a stable boot at Mem 3600: FCLK 1800 MHz, which I should be able to get with the default XMP profile and some Voltage mods alone.

I'm linking my OC.net post, so I'm not double posting on two forums all the time.

Personally, at the moment, it feels like AsRock's default Voltages on my X570 board are way too high and have been set up there to give the greatest range of stability to people. Unfortunately, the fact they are so high doesn't give you any overclocking headroom at all.
