Hello, dear forum mates

I have a question about m.2 NVME SSD`s list cause i see for example Kingston listed as supported 240 and 960 GB versions but not 480GB.

More specific: after 3 Samsung EVO 850/860 250 GB, and 2 Pro 250GB failure, i`ve decided next SSD to be 500GB version not Samsung, and NVME M.2 if it`s possible.

My current config is:
Asrock Z170 Extreme 4 https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z170%20Extreme4/

Intel 6700 NON K

32 GB RAM

Nvidia GT1070 Gaming X

Can i use one of following SSD, which i have access to, as a OS/Boot ones:

1. SKC2000M8/500G Kingston 500GB KC2000 M.2 2280 NVMe SSD up to 3,000/2,000MB/s EAN: 740617293647

2. SA2000M8/500G KINGSTON A2000 500G SSD, M.2 2280, NVMe, Read/Write: 2200 / 2000 MB/s, Random Read/Write IOPS 180K/200K

3. CT500P1SSD8 CRUCIAL P1 500GB SSD, M.2 2280, NVMe, Read/Write: 1900 / 950 MB/s, Random Read/Write IOPS 90K/220K

4. SSDPEKNW512G8X1 Intel SSD 660p Series (512GB, M.2 80mm PCIe 3.0 x4, 3D2, QLC) Retail Box Single Pack

Mostly of all i`m interested in second and third position mostly because of the cost. Thanks in front for any help.

Sincerely Alex.

Dear Alex,

Thank you for choosing ASRock.

Regarding your question, the Intel 660P 512GB has list on the support list.
We suggest choosing from the support, all the device on the support list have tested in our lab without any problem.

Thank you for your quick reply.
I`ve spend the day checking reviews and etc. about intel 660p, and i still have thoughts.
Can you tell me is this link reliable from crucial official web page:
https://www.crucial.in/ind/en/z170-extreme4-/CT13073025
According them this ssd CT500P1SSD8 CRUCIAL P1 500GB SSD, M.2 2280, NVME, Read/Write: 1900 / 950 MB/s, Random Read/Write IOPS 90K/220K is suitable.
And sorry i know what you said in your post still prefer better NVME SSD for my boot/OS drive.

And still have the question about new Kingston consumer series SA2000M8/500G KINGSTON A2000 500G SSD, M.2 2280, NVMe, Read/Write: 2200 / 2000 MB/s, Random Read/Write IOPS 180K/200K is it possible someone tested it ...

Thank you in advance for your understanding and patience.
Sincerely Hakki

Dear Alex,

Due to we don?™t have SA2000M8 and A2000 at our lab, may not test for you.
According to Crucial web page, P1 also compatible with Z170 Extreme4.

Thank you!
Yours truly,
ASRock TSD
