My motherboard is not detecting SATA HDDs. I have verified that the HDD is not the issue, as it is working on a different PC. The Dr Debug code is A2-A9, depending on which SATA port I am plugging it into.
I am aware of the following rules from the manual:
* M2_1, SATA3_0 and SATA3_1 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled. * If M2_2 is occupied by a SATA-type M.2 device, SATA3_3 will be disabled. * M2_3, SATA3_4 and SATA3_5 share lanes. If either one of them is in use, the others will be disabled.
I have an SSD plugged into M2_1, so I am refraining from plugging the HDD into SATA3_0 and SATA3_1.
The same SATA ports that won't detect my HDD WILL detect my Blu-ray burner. The motherboard also detected my SSD plugged into M2_1 with no issues.
I have tried unplugging both the SSD from M_1 and the Blu-Ray burner and plugging in the HDD to SATA3_A1, but it still doesn't detect the HDD.
I have also tried clearing CMOS, resetting all defaults to the BIOS, but still it does not detect the HDD.
Please help!

Does not make much sense. Have you verified in the bios that the proper settings were chosen? In advanced>storage configuration first select the SATA mode to "AHCI". And "third party SATA controller" to enabled, this allows to use the _A1 and _A2 ports. Then any harddisc attached should be listed in the bottom part. Do they appear there? If yes, but in Win not, then it is a OS related problem.

And of course the setting SATA controllers on top also must be enabled.

Yes, SATA Controller is enabled, AHCI is the SATA Mode Selection, and still it does not detect the HDD at the bottom of the Advanced screen.

Disregard, it was the power to the hard drive that was the issue. It is fixed now.
