Really worried I have to break my AsRock tradition, I can't find anything about a product like this either rumours or released, have ASRock no plans for a good m-ATX board?

Especially bad for this generation if true, because this generation's ASRock Extreme boards have the best looking style I've ever seen on any motherboards. I'd hate to miss out, and I only use m-ATX or mini-ITX.

1. Haven't heard of it before now
2. I just searched for it and there's no stores in Norway that have it listed
3. That looks like a Pro board (in style) and not proper Extreme
4. 6 Power phases aren't enough for me

Agreed. The chipset heatsink looks from the Pro series.

Not a fan of the heatsinks on the Z170 Extreme 3 and Z170M extreme 4 either. At least the Z170M Extreme 4 has the IO cover but still wouldn't be my first choice aesthetically and the extreme 3 may as well be a Pro board.

Hopefully there will be M versions of the Extreme 4+, 6, 6+ or 7+.

The '+' board versions normally just have the USB 3.1 front panel included with the board.

The Z170M Extreme4 may be built to a price point.

It does use the DSM, Dual-Stack MOSFETs, which is a more efficient design.

All VRM transistors are not the same. Simply counting phases does not tell the entire story.
