I have recently built a new PC with the following specs
Asrock X570 Phantom Gaming X motherboard Ryzen 3700X with default wraith prism fan GSkill 16 gb 3600mhz RAM Powercolor Red Devil RX 5700XT Corsair mp510 PCIe Gen3 x4 M.2 SSD Corsair 750w 80+ Gold CPU
On default not running any intensive programs other than Chrome and Steam, Southbridge temperature idles at 65 degrees Celcius. SB fan when PC is not under heavy load runs from 4500 to 4850 rpm.
Is this temperature normal for Southbridge heatsink? The Southbridge fan is extremely loud even when PC is idle. Is there a setting in BIOS to reduce the temperature and lower the fan speed? I searched in Asrock BIOS setting and can only find setting for CPU fan curve.

Thanks, I found the SB fan speed options. SB fan idles at 65 degrees celcius, is this normal for X570 Phantom Gaming X?

Same problem here. 70C SB_Temp under BIOS 1.70 Then I upgraded to 3.40 and then...
Conveniently Asrock removed the SB_temp display in BIOS 3.40 Probably so we wouldnt complain about it anymore. However, the SB fan runs at a silly 4000 RPM in BIOS menu and is crying out while in windows idling aswell..
TBH, I am kinda tired of this board and I had it for 36 hours..
