Hello, and thanks in advance for the time you are dedicating at reading this.
I have a Z77 Pro3 AsRock motherboard and suddenly, few days ago, I noticed the fans ignored any settings I could save in the BIOS about their speed. I'll make an example: I have a chassis PWM controlled fan. When everything worked fine, if I wanted to set that fan's speed to "full on" mode, after saving the settings in the BIOS, I could see from the display that the speed was, in fact, at its maximum. If I try to do it now, the setting is saved, but the fan keeps going at its original speed as if no changes were applied. Same goes for the other chassis fan, which is the one with 3 pins. Previously I was able to control it by putting it on full on or deciding what speed level it had to reach (manual mode). Now, instead, with any setting I put, it keeps the same speed, no matter what. I already tried to plug and unplug the pins of both, with no results. Interesting fact: with the AsRock OC software utility, I am instead able to change the fan's speed.
I decided to open this topic here because it's been some days since I sent an official e-mail to the Asrock's customer support, but I still haven't received any reply, so I was thinking to talk about it here too, wondering that maybe it could've been more efficient to solve this matter on a forum rather than sending, eventually, e-mails back and forth.
Anyway as I said, thank you for your time and I wish you a nice day!

OK. So if you set the fans in BIOS, save and reboot back to BIOS the fan settings are saved but the fans are not running as you set them, is that correct ? What display are you talking about ? The BIOS or in Windows ? BTW: Glad to hear your Z77 is still working well other than a fan issue, is now about 6 or 7 years old.

Exactely: if I set the fans in BIOS, save and reboot back to BIOS, the fan settings are saved but the fans are not running as I set them.
I am talking about the BIOS display. I monitor the fans' speed from there after I apply the changes.
Yes, the motherboard still works perfectly, execpt this "issue". I bought it in 2013.
