Hello all, I have been searching on google and found a couple of related issues but nothing has solved my issue. I just finished a new build last night and upon pressing the power button, I have lights on my board and fans, light on my wired mouse, but nothing output to my monitor. I am using the internal MOBO VGA connection. I have the setup as below. So far, I have removed the RAM, installed only one stick in A2 slot, I have removed the battery and waited 10 minutes and turned back on. I cant get any video out and I am starting to get frustrated. Does anyone have any suggestions or how to test individual components to determine if I have something faulty?

- ASRock Fatal1ty B450 Gaming K4
- Ryzen 2700
- G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB)
- CORSAIR VS Series, VS650, 650 Watt, Active PFC
- Intel 660p Series M.2 2280 1TB PCIe NVMe, QLC Internal SSD

your cpu doesn't have on board graphics you need a dedicated video card

I did not realize that at first. I just popped in an old video card from my last PC and still get nothing on the display. Could there be any other issue for me to troubleshoot?

I did not use the top PCI-e slot because I think it interferes with the channels on my NVMe drive. I am ready to try anything at this point, but would like to know how to determine if I have done something ignorant or if something is legitimately bad.

better try it with the first slot as thats made for graphics cards and of course plug your monitor to the graphics card not the motherboard slot
