I hastily updated my X470 Taichi bios to 3.60 without reading the notes that it's not for Pinnacle ridge. I went straight from 1.50 so I skipped the required 2.00 as well. Now my M2_1 slot no longer works. Previous bios versions are not recognized when I try flashing them. What do I do?

it works for me including the m.2 the only difference is i updated correctly

there are ways to downgrade you can do some searching i havent done it before because i've yet to encounter a bios that would require me to revert.

have you tried disabling csm?

Disabling csm didn't help. I believe it made the mobo not see any sata storage device.

I saw a couple forums with people who had reverted from 3.60 to 3.40 but they both went through 2.00. I guess I'll give it a try. I sent support a ticket but no reply yet.

I've been waiting over 3 weeks for a reply to my support ticket.

Yes I received confirmation way back on 11/27/2019. As of today Asrock has made no effort to contact me. I spoke to Newegg and they offered me a prepaid RMA. However, I'd rather fix my current board than be left without a working computer for a week or longer.

I borrowed a 3700x, popped it in, and the M2_1 slot works now. I'm leaning towards buying this or a 3600x and being done with it.
