Just built pc and the red light indicates two problems with it. Vga and boot. All the fans turn on, when i turn on the power. i checked the psu and gpu connectors. They're both, fine, I dont know what else could be the problem other than my motherboard. And if the problem is a defective motherboard, then im wandering why there are problems with the vga too. When i turn the rig on, the two red lights start at cpu and dram, and then shift down to vga and boot. Already tested the ram, cpu, psu, and storage. The graphics is used and has dust on the inside of it. I dont see any damage on it though. Should i just take everything off of the motherboard other than the psu conncectors and try to boot it up? That sounds like a pain though. Also the vga and boot lights weren't shining earlier. Instead it was the cpu and dram. But i carfully tested those already, so i think that problems fixed. And i installed them as perfectly as i could. Also one of the black boxes is bent: https://ibb.co/5h86Ktw

Make sure your 8pin CPU power connector is connected.

I can't read the description of the 2 LEDs that are on. I am going to guess you are using an X570 Phantom Gaming 4. The LEDs indicate issues with the CPU, RAM, GPU or storage. It seems your board has the VGA and Storage LEDs lit but I can't read the writing next to the LEDs in your image.
I would remove the CPU and check for bent pins and make sure it is installed correctly. If that doesn't help double check all your connections, RAM, GPU, power etc.

After scouring the web for a few hours, I stumbled upon some very useful information that was actually in my manual the whole time :P: https://forum-en.msi.com/index.php?topic=293661.0 I then looked up what m.2 sticks the x570 phantom 4 supports, and it looks like it might not support mine (cosair mp600 gen 4 PCIe)

No proper cable for this pattern came with the psu.(this is the pattern for the cpu): 1=sqaure 0=other shape. Pattern for cpu cable: 0010 0110 0001 1001 But if the problem is the cpu then was the light working normally where it and the ram turns on and then turns off? And the fan was spinning perfectly too, or is that powered just by the motherboard?

Other than the weird cpu port, theres nothing else wrong with psu or anything wrong with the graphics card or ram. Im gonna check the other wires

It sounds like you are using a PCIe power connector for the CPU power.
This is not the cable you need to connect. It is a 6+2 pin. If you have this cable connected then it is the cause of your problem, of that I am 100% certain.
You need to use either an 8pin (4+4) CPU power or a 4pin. The 4pin will only fit in one side of the 8pin connector but it should still work. You may want to consider a newer, more capable PSU.

Its a 2018 650w psu. And the connector im using is 4+4 and says cpu on it. Thats why i assumed the problem is the port. I dont even think the problem is the cpu honestly.

Yeah im pretty sure the problem is the motherboard now. Because ive checked everything and that led light on vga still stays on. I dont need any storage to simply load the bios right? Theres nothing i can find thats wrong with it.

Hello,
I've got the same problem. The vga and boot light up at the start (and went out before the windows screen). Effectively on my semi modular Corsair TX750M there's a cable integrated marked CPU exactly as your picture (6+2 pin) beside the motheboard big cable.
But the connector of the motherboard is a 4+4 pin.
I saw on the power supply a 4+4 pin connector (see picture below :)
There's no cable with 2 4+4 pin connectors that are came with the power supply package.
Should I add one ?
Thanks
