Can someone please let me know if there is a BIOS setting on this board that allows your to enable/disable the 4 ASMedia ports?
Thanks!

Does the manual not show how?

Wow, The online pdf manual I just looked at could stand for some better BIOS screenshots.

It doesn't look like they can be disabled. I just looked at OCaholic's BIOS screen shots of their revivew on this board. Nope. None I see.

I don't own the board. I've already downloaded the manual & looked at review BIOS screenshots. None of them provided a definitive yes or no of the feature. So what I'm hoping for is that someone who actually owns the board, will look at the BIOS options & see.

I own the Z170 Extreme7+ board, which is probably the best mother board I've ever used.

I can definitively tell you that you can easily disable the ASMedia SATA ports. I have done that myself.

One of the options of the SATA Mode for the ASMedia SATA ports is Disabled.

The other options are AHCI and IDE, which also Enable the ASMedia SATA ports.

Unfortunately, the manual does not show all the settings available for every UEFI option. IMO, that is common for any manufacture's manual.

While I would like to be able to check what all the settings for each UEFI option are, the manual would be much larger if that information was included. I assume that is one reason why that is not done. Regardless, I understand your frustration.

I salute you for reading the manual! Thumbs Up  Too many people ignore the manuals, which is a mistake.
