Hi, I'm having a very annoying issue with my X370 Taichi motherboard.
Once or twice a week, completely at random, the screen freezes then after a few seconds it goes black and the dr. debug screen starts flashing the 00 code until I hit the restart button. Then the PC reboots just fine and works flawlessy for another couple of days and then the cycle repeats.

Here's everything I tried:
-Clearing CMOS (both by shorting the CLCMOS pins and by removing the battery for a few hours);
-Upgrading and downgrading bios version (currently I'm at 5.60);
-Reseating RAM and CPU;
-Checking the RAM with memtest86;
-Cleaning the chipset and changing the chipset's thermal pad (because the stock one was leaking a supposedly conductive oil);
-Removing my 3.4Ghz OC and XMP profile;
-Changing the power supply idle control option to "typical";

Here's my configuration:
-Ryzen 1600;
-G.Skill TridentZ 3200Mhz CL14;
-XFX RX480 8GB;
-Samsung 860 EVO nvme ssd;
-Seasonic 850W Focus+ PSU;

Can anyone help me? I picked this motherboard because it was supposed to be one of the most reliable ones in the "early ryzen adopters" forums.

Hi zalamandra,

Consider parts aging, recommend increase tiny bit voltage to compensate to find out.

Hi

very same issue here.

Only 1 year old though.

Which voltage do you suggest to increase DRAM or CPU?

I still haven't found the cause of my issue, can anybody help me?

Sent several emails to asrock tech support but they never replied.

Hello guys,

@zalamandra

Please attache screen capture of HWinfo and show as many items as you can, I try some tricks after seeing your voltages. Also show ZenTiming newer than 1.2.1, again need to see as much as we can to reply anything useful.

On a quick note, I used to follow 1usmus dram calculator 100% but was only 99% OK, i.e. random reboot at idling once a week or twice a month.

Finally experimented my biggest solution was to increase VDDG voltage from recommended 0.95v up to 1v and solved, now 2 months without reboot from idling, no crash at games either.

surprisingly I could reduce cldo_vddp from 0.95v down to 0.9v no problem.

also can reduce VDD_SOC from recommended 1.05v down to 1v also no problem.

Just few days back I experimented chipset voltage 1.05v set in A-tuning software but to show 1.08v high, so I reduce to 1.02v in A-tuning and read 1.056v, but same night experience random reboot at idling, haha. So let it back up to 1.05v in A-tuning and read 1.08v

So, in short, reduce each voltage one type at a time until it does not boot and set it back up until boot without running mem-test at all. So you know the bare minimum of each voltages.

After knowing absolutely all minimum then run QUICK mem-test, don't waste hours, I would guess sure fail, which is fine....... then up voltage again one type at a time and run mem-test, if that one have no effect then leave it back to it's minimum and try another. This only works if one item needs more voltage, does not show solution if two items need more voltage, so mix item if need.

I'm now Load-Line-Level all auto. ProcODT auto, CAD BUS auto, only input timing from 1usmus calculator and change voltages.

I suppose I must say must start from all high voltages to find the minimum bootable then minimum windows stable / game stable.
