MoBo: ASRock B450M Pro4 (New) CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 w/ Wraith Cooler (New) Ram: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 2x8gb 2400mhz (used) GPU: MSI GTX 1060 6gb (used in my previous build) SSD: Samsung Evo 860 256gb (used in my previous build) HDD: WD Blue 1tb (used in my previous build) PSU: Thermaltake Smart 600W 80+ (used in my previous build) Case: Montech Air 900 Mesh ATX Mid-Tower
So I?™ve just been sitting with this thing in front of my for the past 6 hours trying to troubleshoot on my own. Here?™s what I?™ve done so far: 1. Resetting CMOS via battery removal after draining power through the power button and shorting with a screwdriver 2. Taking out and moving around the ram 3. Unplugged and plugged back in the 8pin and 24pin connectors 4. Removing and reinserting the cpu, gpu, and connectors from the case to the Motherboard
I read that the motherboard came with the latest bios that was set for Ryzen 3000, so it should be compatible with 3rd gen chips.
After hours, I?™m still stuck with a pc that boots up but goes into a continuous cycle of restarts until I unplug or hit the killswitch on the power supply. I also don?™t get any beeps for error codes since there isn?™t a clear way of placing the speaker onto the motherboard. Please help! Thank you!

Do you have the memory installed in A2/B2? .. if so, try just one stick in A2 .. if no boot .. try the other stick in A2 ..
..and all your other components are verified working?

The ram sticks are receiving power, and I?™ve read that thread on the guy swapping his ram from A1 and B1 to A2 and B2. Still nothing.

It turned out to be that the ram that I bought was set to only work for Intel systems only. I returned the board in belief that it was the issue and found out the real problem was the ram when I got a new board. Apparently, types of ram matter. If you have a friend who has an Intel system, you can have them change the ram configurations and it should work. <??from a video I watched. I don?™t have the link to it, but apparently you could still use it if it gets set up properly for AMD processors. I?™d recommend you just buy ram listed specifically for AMD just so you don?™t have to go through the hassle of changing ram configurations. If at all this doesn?™t work, just RMA your mobo and get a more expensive brand. It should only be about a $10-15 difference. Hope this helped!
