I have an ASRock x570 Pro4 motherboard and I want to purchase 64Gb Ram for it. I have no particular interest in overclocking, I just want something I and plug in and have it work. I've looked at the mb manual and the QVL lists (asrock's list and various memory maker's lists, like g.skill).
From what I've read, it seems like it would be better to get a 2-stick configuration like 2x32Gb. And it also seems like I won't be able to get anything faster than 3200 Mhz, which is fine. I've sort of zero-ed in on this: https://www.newegg.com/g-skill-64gb-288-pin-ddr4-sdram/p/N82E16820232952?cm_mmc=cnetfindmanufactureus-_-20-232-952-_-na-_-na
Will the ram linked above work? Is there some better (cheaper, same performance) alternative? Thank you for any advice!

I think I have finally answered my own question. I will buy: https://www.gskill.com/specification/165/326/1571985694/F4-2666C18D-64GTZN-Specification
The 2666Mhz ram Trident Z Neo ram from G.Skill rather than the 3200MHz ram. On the specs page for the 3200 ram it says it's base speed is 2666 and they only got the faster speed by using those XMP settings and overclocking it, using higher voltage. I'm not interested in doing any of that as this is a work machine that I just want to be stable forever.
Anyway, thanks for listening! I think just writing out my thoughts helped. Sorry to bother anyone. ;-P

As log as it is on the QVL, it should work.
