I have an older build with a ASRock Z87 Killer motherboard. My GTX 970 stopped working with it. After installation it will function for a few minutes before shutting down. The fan on the GPU spins loudly and the display goes blank. I thought this was a GPU issue so I bought a GTX 1660 SC Ultra but I'm having the same problem. After installing it works for a little while then it starts blowing out and dies. So now I'm thinking it's a motherboard issue. Maybe a BIOS setting? But I'm not sure what to look for. Does anyone have any ideas? This has been frustrating me for quite awhile now. Thanks for any help! |

So the system is working with the integrated graphics? If so, it could be your PSU is failing. More often than not, when something just stops working in a system that has been working fine for a long time, it's the PSU. If you can, try with a different PSU and see if that resolves your issue. -------------
