So I bought the ASRock Z390M-ITX/ac mobo for a system upgrade I plan on doing with the 9700K. I originally planned on booting off of a M.2 ssd and setting up some kind of storage space with all 6 SATA ports, but noticed looking through the manual that using a SATA M.2 drive disables SATA port 3_1, but it doesn't mention anything about using an NVMe ssd. If I bought an NVMe drive instead, do I have full access to all 6 SATA ports? And if so, does it drastically affect the PCIe lanes I have available for a graphics card? Thanks so much!

Dear cj9jones,

Thanks for posting your query to the ASRock forum.

If a NVMe type M.2 is installed to the system, full access to all SATA ports are allowed.

And M.2 will not affect the PCIe lanes available to the PCIe slots.

With thanks,
ASRock TSD
