Hallo there,

last Week I installed a new m.2 SSD. Sadly my System won't post anymore after this.

here is my Setup:

- X370 Taichi Bios v 6.2 (newest Asrock Bios)
- Ryzen 5 3600
- Gskill Ripjaws V 3200 Cl16 @ 3333 Mhz 2 x 16 GB
- MSI Gaming Gtx 1070 TI

In this Setup my System ran stable for over half a year. After installing the SSS I wouldn't get a post anymore.

Of course I CMOS-Cleared a lot after every one of the following changes:

I tried different RAM Combinations (1 RAM, different slots, dual channel different slots). No Post

I tried reinstalling the ryzen 3600. No Post

I tried installing my old ryzen 1600x. POST! WTF?
Bought a new Ryzen 3600 because I blamed the CPU. NO POST, WTF?

So 1600x with both GSKILL Modules @ 3200 running perfectly.

Is it the Mainboard then?

Other interesting facts:
tried other ram modules (Crucial ballistix 2 x 8)
1600x wont post with the Ballistix
3600 posts successfully with only one Module installed. Dual Channel won't post.

thinking about buying a new Mainboard now, but why is 1600x running fine and 3600 won't post, after over half a year?

Thank you guys for any advise!

ok lets try to work this out

with the 1600 and no hard drive and one gskill in a2

unplug from wall , and pop out the cmos coin battery , press and hold the case power button for 30 secs to properly reset the bios

then boot the system as is (remember this could take 30 seconds for first boot)
from your description this should boot ok, (but you also have wiped all traces of recent ram training memory etc from bios)

now fit the 3600 and reboot with no ssd and the same rams stick in a2
this should also now boot
enter bios then save exit

now fit the other gskill in slot b2

im guessing you should get the boot now

so your back to where you was

now the question for you ,due to leaving out the info in first post
please tell us what new ssd you used and which m2 socket you installed it to

thx so far for reading and answering.

I will try this out immediatly. But first let me try to summarize my first posting in a tl;dr version ;)

original and working setup upon installing an adata xpg sx8200 pro 1TB in m2.1

   x370 taichi, ryzen 5 3600, gskill ripjaws 5 2x16 GB DDR4-3200, CL16-18-18-38, msi 1070 ti

After installing adata xpg sx8200 ssd in m.2 Slot 1:
Bootloop without Post/Bios on Error Code DrDebug: 33(ram in A2 and B2), b6(just one stick in any)

Same Problem with: new 3600 cpu // without m2.1 Ssd // with crucial ballstix dual ram in A2+B2.

No Problem with: 3600+single-channel Crucial stick   OR   1600x dual-channel Ripjaws

I'll keep u up2date

I also tried to downgrad Bios to 5.8 and back to v6.2.

I think the board got some damage. Well, it's 2 and a half years old.
Maybe it got some elecrostatic burst when I mounted the nvme ssd

Yeah, should wear a grounding strap or at least grab a hold of something metal to discharge any static electricity built up in your body before touching anything on the inside or going into your case.

Recently my 3800x died, dr debug post error 33,7a,3b,b6. When to warranty and confirmed dead and replace a new.

With replaced new 3800x, when single GPU is in slot 2 and not slot 1 with a clearED cmos also same dr debug port error 33,7a,3b,b6.

Must put GPU in slot 1, boot to bios, change pcie 1x16 to 2x8, then must not clear cmos, shutdown, swap CPU to slot 2 and post OK boot windows game not crash.
