Hello, I watched https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tkxrM9AvT-4&t=312s
As you can see there(4.20min), all cores boost is 3700MHz. It should be at least 3600MHz?
Check my boost now during rendering https://i.imgur.com/r6vVrgA.png
Only 3440MHz all cores and x34.50 ratio. Why is this? I expected at least 3600MHz.
Also in my BIOS I have only Core Performance Boost which is on Auto (it has only auto and disabled)
It seems I dont have XFR Enhancement and PBO options at all. Or cant find but I think there is non.
Can someone please explain me all this things. Why im lacking XFR and PBO and is it possible because of that to boost only 3440MHz. BIOS is 3.90 btw.
I read that and other ppl with AsRock motherboards, like Pro4 have same issue. How in Hardware Unboxed they boost to 3.7.
Im starting to think now that is AsRock only issue?
I posted in few forums, nothing so far. No real explanation.
Btw at start of the benchmark i see for a second 3700 and i have boosts to 3800 recorded as max by HWMonitor. But 99% of the time is 3440.
My temps are 51c in cinebench and 54C Blender. Using GAMMAXX 400.

3600 is advertisd MAX boost this is one core
the 1600af does indeed single core itself to 3700 (this is un-official)
you cant set pbo or xfr its a 1600 non X getting 3440 all core is good on defaults
im not sure why you feel cheated everything is good

Thanks for answer. Feels bad still cos i see so many ppl with 3700MHz boost on all cores with MSI and Gigabyte.
Here from my reddit post. Some dude uploaded ss from his https://www.imageupload.net/image/1600af2.DRfa1

you can have it all core boost to 3.8/3.9/4.0
i would say any 1600af should do it
but you have to manually enter the core frequency and increase the voltage
its a basic overclock
to be fair its probably not worth messing around with but its your equipment to do as you wish

Yeah, because my video card is weak dont need OC now. My CPU in HWMonitor is showing 1.380V as MAX recorded. Everything is on defaults in BIOS, except RAM is 3200MHz. I think this is too high, but im scared to change atm. Maybe I should try 1.300V (for stock CPU again).
As for boost. I really wish to know the answer, why is this. I cant sleep well :D There is 2 possible explanation imo atm. 1st which is less likely. AMD changed something on new 1600AF CPUs to be more weaker than 2600. 2nd. AsRock motherboards having issue with boost on this CPU (maybe and on 2600 non X idk). I spoke with a guy in other forum, he asked same question before I even buy my MB and CPU. He has 3 AsRock Pro4 or Pro4-F not sure which exactly and 1600AF CPUs and he told me that on ALL 3 the boost is 3400MHz/3440MHz. So this is like on old 1600 AE models... its sad.

my wife uses the 1600af and a asrock b450m pro4
this is what the 1600af is supposed to do
think of it more like a GOLDEN SAMPLE 1600 ae
it does not have the softwares/firmware to act like a 2600 even though it can do the same manually amd dont want it to do it automatically
