I had a 1600x and an ab350 fatality mobo. Upgraded to a 3700x, which meant I had to update the bios. Recently I upgraded to a x570 extreme4 mobo. I tried rolling back the ab350 to version 5.4/5.7, but it just kept saying it can't be used. I gave up and just moved the cpu to the new board. Now my question is, is this board just incompatible with my 1600x now? |

no .........next .................  ok a more detailed answer all boards with am4 are advising not to flash to later bios with older cpus reasons ??????? firstly the amount of mistake and failures when bios flashing makes it good advice NOT to upgrade bios if you dont actually need too secondly theres mutterings of slightly less performance and optimisation using first gen with 3rd gen bios your issue ? forget it , fit the 1600x it will work on the later bios will be it be 2% slower at program xxx??? maybe who cares you have a board and cpu collecting dust .........use it ! ------------- [url=https://valid.x86.fr/jpg250]  [/url]3800X, powercolor reddevil vega64, gskill tridentz3866, taichix370, evga750watt gold |

Just tested it. No beeps, and nothing on screen. Guess I'll wait for the 3300x. |
