Dear AsRock forum,
I am trying to update my ASRock Z87 Extreme6 bios, to the beta driver 2.80C, because I want to install a PCIe to M2-SSD.
I got my official beta bios driver here and followed the instructions - download file, put on usb stick under 4GB, formatted in fat32 and tried to instant flash.
The file(s) get shortly displayed, then it gets stuck on a recovery.txt (not present on the stick) - no mouse or keyboard input possible.
I tried all USB ports, different USB sticks, different bios versions (non-beta ones) and I get the same result every time.
I can't find anything in the forums or internet - what do I do now? I seems like I get something fundamentally wrong :/
Thank you for helping
Best, T.

Well, it turned out that instant flash looks for the driver on all drives. So if you got 9 HDDs, it takes a very long time and looks like it is frozen. Disconnecting all drives helped, in my case.

Have you tried using Windows 10 on this M/B? Mine ran OK under Win7 but it does not like Windows 10 with AMD graphics cards and locks up the system when installing any AMD drivers.

After rigorous testing, this mainboard does not support Windows 10. I'm waiting for a reply from Asrock support team :(
